Dad Nick Herbert has designed the app ReplyASAP which will lock your child's cellphone until they respond to your text because "important messages shouldn't be missed." The app also lets you set off an alarm on the phone until they respond and the alarm works even if the phone is on silent mode.
Herbert said this app can also be used for elderly family members.
